Airbnb is working to make sure that everyone can belong anywhere, which includes our guests with accessibility needs. Our current work includes (1) using a guest-centered approach that allows travelers to search for listings based upon their own accessibility needs, and (2) requiring hosts to upload photos for accessibility features for their listings. During this session we'll discuss these projects, the research behind them, and our future work to further improve accuracy of accessibility features on our platform. We'll wrap up with our engineers' experiences as new grad engineers working on in-home accessibility.
